Q: Hello if I connect my phone and use you tube will the video on you tube show up on the screen?
A: If you pair your Singing Machine karaoke machine to your blue tooth device, and use You Tube as your source of music, you will see the lyrics appear on your blue tooth device (ex: iPhone/Andriod, iPad/Tablet). The bluetooth device become your monitor
Q: can you take it off grid, or does it have to be connected to a plug while using it ?
A: The Carnaval singing machine has a built-in rechargeable battery. if you charge the battery in full before taking it off grid. you can use music downloaded to the USB flash drive and the lyrics will display on built-in monitor. Fully charges give you up to 6 hours of playing time.

A: to allow for lyrics to display, the file has to be in karaoke format. When using YouTube as your playlist, you need to make sure you search for (karaoke songs with lyrics) and (karaoke videos with lyrics) those formatted songs will then display on YouTube for your enjoyment...
