A: I've been installing electronics for 25 years, I've never heard of a holiday edition. Some models are built for specific retailers for marketing reasons (makes it harder to compare), and there are always multiple models of the same size, some are HD, UHD, some have more inputs, etc. This was purchased as a low cost 4K (UHD) tv for an out of town install I did, it has minimal inputs, cable, HDMI, and analog for a VCR. The picture quality is excellent, sound is acceptable, and I still consider LG to be one of the better companies producing flat screens.
