Q: Is the SM 8 compatible with a monitor arm?
A: No, there is no cut-out on the rear of the monitor.
A: According to Samsung M8 web site. It is MICRO not Mini HDMI which make it much harder to connect a desktop PC. All video cards nowadays only with Display Port and HDMI. No USBC connection. Some of the cables are only unidirectional (One way/direction). Modern laptop should not have issues.
Q: Does the monitor work to connect with consoles like ps4/ps5?
A: Yes, you can you use the included HMDI cable to hook either of them up.
A: I can only get this to work periodically. I don’t recommend this to use as a monitor. Lots of TV stuff. But expensive for a TV
Q: Are you able to connect/stream the Slimfit camera to the laptop?
A: No. I was hoping to use as an external camera for my laptop. It only works when you use the included software of the monitor.
A: This will not be enough by itself. You can hook up your laptop to extend capabilities. This by itself is only good for watching videos like Netflix. It has Microsoft office but it is slow. Treat this like a monitor that doubles as a TV.
A: The connectivity with this monitor is very spotty I think for the exact reason you have highlighted it’s very hard to get your laptop or desktop connected to this thing.
Q: can hook up an xbox. to this computer
A: Yes. It is not a computer it is a smart monitor. You can use it as a tv or a pc monitor and it has built in streaming apps like other samsung smart tvs.
