Q: Does this work for PS5? One of the comments states it does not. Please confirm.
A: Mine is plugged into my ps5. I have all of my ps4 downloads on it and can play them directly from it. You can put ps5 games on it, but need to copy to the console to play those.
A: This is a hard-drive, whatever kind of media you want to use it for it will work just fine. The reason this is the playstation, is due to the speed needed to play the saved games. The connection is USB 2.0 or 3.0. Which helps the data move fast. I hope this information helped you.

A: No. They sold memory cards back then for the ps2. Went in right above your controller.

A: It’s a usb 3.0 ssd drive so its speed is between 5Gbs-20Gbs. It will play ps4 games from the drive but ps5 games are storage only until you transfer them back to Ps5 system.
Q: Do I need to install SSDI card in my ps5 to talk to external disk drive?
A: Yes, you have to plug it into the PS5 or you will not be able to utilize the purpose of this drive.
