The power of the pervJanuary 1, 2014
Genre: Fantasy, Action, Comedy Length: 12 episodes "The best things in life are dirty...And she just stole them from him! Never make a deal with a wet goddess you've only just met. That's a lesson Ryosuke Kaga learns the hard way when he foolishly agrees to let Lisara Restole use some of his "essence" to stay in this world. Because despite her smoking hot appearance, Lisara's actually a Shinigami, a Goddess of Death. However, she doesn't steal years off his life like any decent Shinigami would do. Oh no, instead she sucks off his lecherous spirit, draining his ability to enjoy... well, the things that teenage boys normally spend most of their time thinking about! And now the poor degenerate's only hope of getting his licentiousness renewed is to join Lisara on her quest, since when she leaves our mortal plane he regains his normal immorality! But Shinigami can be really harsh mistresses and it's going to be anything but easy to go back to being sleazy in So I Can't Play H!" Second time's a charm? BBY isn't liking my reviews lately. Having to save every one in case I have to repost ;_; So I Can't Play H!...to an extent you can already tell what this series is about from the title and cover art. Hot chicks? Check! Lots of fanservice? Check!! A decent plot? ...CHECK!!! Surprisingly, this one breaks loose of the norm for most fanservice heavy anime and actually develops a semi-decent plot around it. The first few episodes take the time to build up Ryosuke and Lisara along with the side characters. However, after Ryosuke's secret power is discovered, the actual story kicks into gear. From that point on, the amount of lovely ladies baring it all takes a noticeable drop in frequency and instead we get plenty of action. There's even a bit of drama mixed in which is done quite well. I haven't gotten choked up by the death of a male character since Zero no Tsukaima! Plot aside, this series definitely deserves the M rating. Nips and rears are present in every episode. One of those things where the ladies' clothing is tied into their energy levels. The more they get beat up or tired...the more disappears. The series is only recorded with Japanese audio, so if you don't like reading subtitles, then stay away. I had no problem with it as I started streaming the series nearly a year ago when it first came out. Don't stream this one...the amount of censoring is atrocious from the TV broadcasts. Not much to speak of with the extras. Promos, trailers, and textless theme songs. I had stopped watching this series early this year, but I'm glad that I bought it and watched through it all. Once you get past the character and plot build-up, it gets very thrilling to watch. It's always "entertaining" if you like the ladies, but the story just makes it even better. Give it a shot...if you're of the appropriate age!
