Q: Where do you exchange cylinder for a full one??
A: here is a link to their website: https://sodastream.com/pages/get-a-refill?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIoNDdu8ij4QIVz5QYCh01qAxDEAAYASABEgK6tvD_BwE You will need to copy/paste the link, and then, you just need to put your ZIP code
Q: Can you choose how much carbonation you want with this model?
A: Yes, you decide how much carbonation you want. The amount in the water depends on how many time you push the button.
Q: Can this be used to carbonate juice, tea, or lemonade as well?
A: You could use it to carbonate anything you wanted really. I don't know of long/well it would last though.
Q: Does the CO2 cylinder need to be replayed? If so, how often & at what cost?
A: We have had the Sodastream about 2 weeks, use it a lot, and haven't replaced the cylinder yet. A new cylinder is about $30, however it is only $15 when you exchange an empty cylinder.
Q: What size Carbonation Gas bottle is included?
A: Kit includes the 60l capacity carbonator (410g/14.5oz net CO2), and a 1 liter water bottle.
Q: Can you make flavored seltzer water with this?
A: Absolutely! Use the SodaStream drops, or other (food-grade) extracts/flavorings. The new Bubly branded drops taste just like the canned seltzer to me, with less waste/recycling. Just be sure to add flavors AFTER you have carbonated the water. I put the flavoring into a separate 1-liter glass bottle, then pour the carbonated water from the SodaStream bottle into that to mix it up. If you use cold water, the CO2 stays dissolved pretty well even when pouring.
Q: What’s the difference between this and the $129 Soda Stream?
A: The Fizzi One Touch Sparkling Water Maker ($129.99 list price) plugs in with an AC adapter, and automatically dispenses CO2 for one of 3 preset carbonation levels. This less expensive Fizzi has a manual push button, which you hold down to dispense the desired amount of CO2. Doesn't require electricity, and comes in more colors.
