Well worth a try, certainly worth a listen
Great sounding speakers, very good off-axis soundstage. Very crisp and clear. Only drawback is 6ohm rated. Perfect for home theater, my use is multi-channel music and makes it difficult with amp pairing. Very little sound difference between the VP-62 and in-ceiling well-known name brand speaker priced at $2100/ea.

Not 6.5 inch speakers.
I purchased the MAG6R & MAG8R for our home theater and they sound great. I have a Boston Acoustic center channel speaker that has 2 5x7 and its tweeter that I used but it takes up space on the entertainment center. I purchsed this VP62LCR to replace it and I was going to install it in the ceiling. However, I noticed that the woofers were smaller than the MAG6R. The description details the woofer being 6.5 inches, but they are not. I measured the MAG6R and they are 6.5 inches. The picture shows the measurement. FYI I started the measurement from the 1 inch demarcation. I would still recommend based on their other speakers that I have. I'm returning this tomorrow. I just don't like being lied too.

Pricey, but well worth it.
Spending almost $377 bones on one speaker made me cringe. Especially since my left, right, and rears (Yamaha's), and 4 in-ceiling's (sonance) were $75 each. However the best buy theater guru informed me that the center channel speaker would not be a speaker to skimp on. After some back and forth I bit the bullet and ordered this thing. I recently finished my 5.1.4 setup and dang does it sound amazing. The clarity of voices from this sonance center channel is amazing. I'm very happy with my purchase and now want to replace all my Yamaha's with all sonance's Lol xD
