A: To answer my own question, I recently pulled the trigger and bought the soundbar and sub.....and YES!!!!!!! the bass, along with the rest of the sound, is AWESOME!!!!! Even with the high, vaulted ceiling and the open room concept, the bass is very impressive at both low and high volume levels. Can't wait to add a couple of speakers to the mix.
Q: I assume this is Gen 2. How can we identify gen 2 vs gen 3 sub?
A: Sad that Best Buy doesn't tell you which version this is. You have to assume that from the fact that the newest version is labeled. The connect button is round on the G3 Sub and square on all previous versions. Check the pictures before you buy.
A: This sub will only work with Sonos.
Q: Can I go this up in my Escalade?
A: Hi, and thank you for your question! Although your Escalade would bump, unfortunately you cannot put our products in your car. They're designed for in home use over wifi.
Q: Is this one compatible with the Sonos S1 App?
A: Yes. But you need a playbar to use it.
Q: What is the most up to date generation?
A: In Feb. of 2020 I purchased a Sonos sound bar for $400. to add to a new tv because by Bose system would not work w/the new smart tv. The sound was clear but flat.I added the Sonus sub and now the system kicks. Kicks is comprehensive for yeah its there! ALL of the Best buy agents from the Geek squad Love Sonos and highly recommend any Sonos component.
A: You can use it with your one or just about any other Sonos speaker. However it is pretty expensive so I would consider adding another Sonos one so you can have stereo sound first. There are also other options like the five. Hope that helps, and by the way the sub is awesome. I have it paired with a playbar and I love it.
A: I had 2 play 5 speakers and one soundbar in our family room, just recently added the sub and the sound is now amazing. I believe the sub was a bit overprice and decided to buy it just to try it out, nut let me tell you this baby is staying home.
