This is a great camera that offers a lot of customization. I currently have a canon 7d, 70d, and 5dmkii and overall I am very impressed with this camera. There is only one glaring issues I have had with it is the auto focus. I actually took the first one back because I thought it was defective. The autofocus system is very fast, that is after you are actually able to get it setup perfectly. It is also extremely finicky, Of all the cameras I have used this has been the most difficult one to get results with. Once you get it set right the results are incredible but it can be an extremely frustrating road to that point. If you can find the Sony a77ii 4d focusing book online it is helpful, you have to search as it is not readily available through Sony, strange huh? Funny that they had to make a separate book just for this and after reading tons of reviews I can see the trend that this is a very common compliant with this camera. Once you get that nailed down though like I said incredible results.

YES! I waited a full year to review this item. And after using it countless of times in the hottest, coldest, and wettest conditions i can proudly say, this camera is a wonder! i love sony and its products and i am a film major, i have used this camera for countless of my films and projects and i have done some photography with it as well and it is a pleasure and a joy. i have worked with canon and nikon but none are as user friendly as this camera. granted you have to get use to the complicated menu system but it is an amazing experience to learn each and every trick in the camera to receive beautiful photos and film videos. i would definitely recommend this for a causal user and professional. I have attached a few pictures to showcase the the potential of the camera, unedited.

I'd been researching a-mount Sony APS-C DSLRs and felt that the a77ii was awesome, but too expensive. Then when in stopped in to ask about the a68, the sales associate told me there was a fantastic in-store special on the a77ii. It was (great); I was blown away. I spent the day online trying to get a handle on how the price could be so low. Finally, around 5pm, I went in and laid my money down. Delivery (from Sony) in 5 days. Absolutely no buyer's remorse - the a77ii is awesome with great advance features - AF, fps, weather resistance, on and on.... Now I've got a big problem - I have work to do and I'm more than a bit distracted learning how to use the camera. (I bought David Busch's 77ii book too.)

This camera is packed with features for both the advanced amateur photographer and the pro alike. Between the newly redesigned auto focus, the built in wifi and NFC this camera blows its competitors out of the water and for a fraction of the price. If you have used any of the higher end Sony DSLR cameras this one should be pretty easy for you to pick up and use. The controls and menus are very well thought out and easy to navigate. The fact you can customize some of the menus and most of the controls makes it even that much better.

This camera is phenomenal. There is no way to even complain about this camera, it is amazing! The images it takes looks like something a $3,000+ camera would take. The value and specs of this camera are unbeatable. Not to mention its super easy to use even for someone who has no DSLR experience! Sony never ceases to amaze me, hence my PS1-PS4 collection and so on and so forth. Don't even hesitate if you have the opportunity to buy an a77ii. Soon Sony will be 100% mirrorless. Not that it would be a bad thing but it just doesn't feel right taking photos with a mirrorless.

I bought this camera to replace my alpha 55. I am so happy I stayed with a Sony. The learning curve was easy and I was taking beautiful photos within minutes. The only thing I am NOT happy with is the toggle switch, but that may just be my personal reference to the design of my other camera. The camera does a beautiful job in low light settings, it also has a very fast focus especially when I try to take photos of my 2 year old who keeps running away from the camera.

This camera is missing 2 things on my list: higher than 24MP resolution and 4K video. I bought it any ways because I got a good deal. After using it for 3 weeks now, I really think I made a good decision. The resolution is more than enough for the size I normally print and the video quality is great. The only thing I do not like is the sharp noise from the lens when focusing. The process of repairing seems quite complex so i decide to live with it.
