A: Yes, as well as the A6's as long as you remember the focal length will effectively be 75mm and not 50mm due to the croppedsensor in those cameras. On a side note, the newer the camera, the better it's autofocus system will perform, as well as the level of stabilization I.B.I.S. can provide now makes the capability of getting a more cinematic image IF you are capturing film. For stills there's chromatic aberration and lens distortion to consider. Hope this bit of info helps. -CC

A: Since this lens is a E-Mount lens, yes it will. The only thing being that because the NEX-5R has a smaller sensor than a normal full frame, the focal length is effectively 75mm I believe.

Absolutely get it as your first lense
I took a year tour to South Korea and let me tell you that this has been my go to lense for a majority of my time. I work with the Sony A6000 and although the photos will be cropped, that didn't stop me from getting what I wanted. After working with a the two standard lenses, having this in my case was a godsend and had me appreciate photography so much more.

Solid product
The Sony 50mm f/1.8 is a great budget-friendly prime lens that pairs nicely with my Sony A7C II, offering sharp images, beautiful background blur, and a lightweight design that complements the camera's compact body. While the autofocus is a bit slow and can hunt in low light, especially for video, it performs well enough for portraits and general photography, especially with the A7C II’s excellent eye-AF. It’s not the most premium-feeling lens, but for the price, it delivers impressive image quality and is a solid choice for beginners or anyone looking for an affordable prime.

10/10 Open Box Lens
I've been searching for a somewhat cheap prime lens and I was a bit skeptical getting an open box one from best buy. BUT I literally love this lens, it was cheap for open box and the lens was basically brand new just a bit of residue on the side, glass was clean and in perfect condition. Def buying more open box lens from best buy. Photo attached is the lens I purchased, 50MM/FE 1.8
