    Continuous problems

So I bought this phone mid January, first phone I got had LCD screen bleed returned the phone and picked another thinking it might be just that particular phone, boy was I wrong. Got the new phone after 1 and a half month i had issues with the volume control. It would auto adjust to a different volume level which got very annoying, talked to sony they did a software patch didn't fix the issues. So I lived with it, well shortly after about 2 weeks later the screen died where the only images where color streaks. Good thing I had best buy warranty so I used it got another sony phone, after a week and a half the headphone jack died and a couple of buttons would get stuck like the power button and volume down. So it would continuously reboot and would not function. So I went to the kingsport best buy and explained what going on. Luckily the kingsport bestbuy let me exchange my phone, and I picked up a galaxy S8+ open box and I love my galaxy would never go back to the lack of quality sony has. DO NOT BUY THE SONY PHONE OR WAST YOUR TIME ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR THE HEAD ACHE, THEIR IS NO QUALITY FOR THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!

Let's us look at the bright side first. I love the phone so far with my first honeymoon day. I love the 6 inches screen and doing great in color for mid-range unlock phone. The camera is okay and struggle at low light like most smartphone camera. The dual front camera seem to doing fine - haven't have much time to test it out yet. The bad side of the story is about Sony. The package box come very cheap more like Chine made product, which I would assume yes. Sony only include their USB Charger UCH20 and Type-C USB Cable UCB20, which both don't even support Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. Plus the Type-C USB cable UC20 it a USB 2.0 not a 3.0 as most phone company ship with their phone if they have Type-C USB charging port. Sony website show the phone support Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and they refuse to include the right cable, it's a $450 phone. And at least they should include a headphone, even a very cheap one, for this phone since it still have 3.5 audio jack on the top.

I absolutely love this phone! Yeah it could use more Ram (only 32gb) and it would be nice if it could use a Micro SD card bigger than 256, but for this price range that is pretty good. The cameras are awesome and video is great too. Some, like me think that it is too big at first glance, but it fits in my hand perfectly and is also perfectly balanced unlike other phones this size that are currently on the market. Everyone that I show this phone to likes it and can't believe that it is made by Sony! Two words of advice this phone is not in any way able to be submerged under liquid (I found the hard way two weeks into ownership) and accessories are extremely limited for this model as with most Sony phones, so keep those two thoughts under consideration before purchasing. Otherwise I have had no problems that I could contribute to the phone, but I do have some problems with AT&T's service, especially when it comes to their "perks" being "offered" and I am not the only one. Just another consideration for you. Good luck!

I bought this phone after having owned an older Xperia, can't remember the model of it though. What I Do remember is that the previous model I had seemed to get Android updates at least once per month, and I really liked that fact. I'm happy to say that this phone didn't disappoint in that area, as it has had 3 updates in the last 40 days I've owned it. The display is nice and bright to me, the processor seems to be responsive, and watching movies on the phone is very enjoyable to me despite the lack of an available phone case with a stand built in. What is disappointing however is that the camera doesnt seem to be as capable as the S7 I gave up because I wanted a phone with the largest screen size possible! I can usually put my old S7 camera to my aquarium and get clean macro shots through the glass but this XA2 can't seems to be incapable in that regard. Fortunately I have a nice mirrorless camera so having multiple features for my phone isn't a deal breaker.

This phone absolutely shattered my expectations. I went to best buy to purchase a Nokia 6.1 and just before ringing out this caught my eye. Pros: Affordable price Huge, vibrant display Phone is very responsive and runs smoothly Outstanding battery life, probably the best I've seen on a phone so far Cons: Not always easy to use with one hand but that's a trade off with the huge screen and also there is an option to minimize the screen so not really that big of a con Don't get me wrong, the camera for this phone is very solid, I just thought it would be a little crisper than it is. Images at times appear smoothed out rather than crisp. All in all, if you are in the market for an affordable midrange smartphone, I can't think of one I'd rather recommend.

Great phone but camera is meh

So far this phone has met all my expectations except for one. the camera is pretty bad. I am coming from a Lumia 1520, which had a superb camera. Indoors the photos are terrible even with the flash. The auto mode spends A LOT of time trying to figure out what you want and often just its own thing. Trying to take macro when you don't want etc. Low light is bad. At least this one has a center mounted camera unlike the XA1 Ultra. The phone itself is snappy and quick. I haven't run into and issues with performance. Screen is nice and crisp. Sometimes the curved edge is an issue depending on how big your hands are or how you are holding it.

The graphics for playing games and watching movies on this phone is super clear and crisp. The camera is very good your pictures will come out very nice using camera for regular pictures and using the front camera for selfies. I love using the mirroring from phone to my tv. The screen on this phone is super big only thing I don’t like is the shape of the phone on edges-it has more of a rectangle pointy edge around all 4 corners instead of the mice curve edge. I’m a iPhone user and love my iPhone and said I would never own a android again but since purchasing this phone for my brother I would consider getting this phone if I ever decided to become insterested in a android

Review of XA2 Ultra - After owning Nexus 4 and 5x and getting my wife an Android One Moto x4 - I was on the quest to find a stock android phone with no bloatware to slow things down. Also not having to get tethered to Project Fi. After some research, Sony fit the bill and I for one am glad that Sony finally adopted a fingerprint scanner and it has a headphone jack. Apps open quickly and the screen is nice and big. Battery life has also been pretty good. Not really concerned about 4k on a phone. Content not all there and I'd rather watch on a big screen anyway. Overall pleasantly surprised. I also have the smaller XA2 for my son.
