Great show, however it was annoying to find out it was not the complete series. Ordered it thinking it was the entire show, but it was only the last half and not the first part. Would have liked to know when I purchased it that it was only part 2. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Mislabeled product. This is actually part 2 of the complete series set and not the whole series itself, so dont be fooled. Otherwise this is a decent combo pack purchase and a decent show with a slightly different plot than most other shows out there currently.

Genre: SciFi, Supernatural, Drama, Romance, Mystery Length: 12 episodes + OVA "The microwave is a time machine and the girl gets shot. Okarin sends another text. Nukes another banana. The mad scientist meddled with forces he never should have known about. The girl gets run over by a car. Okarin goes back to stop the bleeding. Dashes madly through the dark streets. Races against time. The girl gets hit by a train. Failures and flatlines multiply in a ghastly pattern of repetition. Over and over and over again until sanity is stripped away and you start to notice shapes slipping in and out of the shadows. SERN. The girl gets stabbed before and after the kissing. Okarin grows frantic. Bodies pile up around him. SERN is getting closer. The girl is bleeding. A top secret Future Gadget Lab member from the future is their only hope. The blood sprays and the girl dies. SERN destroyes the world. KILLS ALL THE GIRLS. THERE IS TIME FOR ONE LAST TRY. Now Okarin bleeds but he won't stop. Ever. The microwave is a time machine and the girl always gets shot." Steins;Gate surpassed all of my expectations with how amazing it truely is. To say that it's good is an understatement and should be a part of every anime lover's collection. Although the description on the main page lists this as the complete collection, the short synopsis/review given does state that it's episodes 13-25, but I don't think it was like that when it first got put on bestbuy.com. I bought this one back in 2012 and just finally got around to watching it this month because I kept pushing off purchasing the first part! So much that I've missed out on with cosplay and at the conventions! Volume 2 takes a decidely darker and grittier turn for the worse for Okarin and the Lab members. Episode 13 starts off with the death of Mayuri which happens at the end of volume 1. Events continue to spiral in a never-ending pattern as Okarin sends his consciousness back in time to stop the death. But no matter how many times he tries, she always dies whether it's at the hands of SERN or a random accident. Eventually, they discover what needs to happen, but it comes at a terrible cost that Okarin might not be willing to pay. Such an amazing series with a terriffic ending to it as well. I'd love to throw spoilers out there, but that ruins everything! Steins;Gate was so popular in Japan that it sparked huge sales of Dr. Pepper as it was the drink of choice for Okarin and Kurisu throughout the show. After watching the entire series, I have to go purchase the visual novel and play through it as well. It'll definitely be among the top series out there that I've seen in the past few years.
