Four great movies featuring Steve Mcqueen., Three of which are classics. Two of them are ensembles, but they are all enhanced by his presence. He only has minor roles in the Magnificent Seven and The Great Escape. He is a costar in Thomas Crowne affair, and the full star of the Sand Pebbles. The only missing movie that would make this set complete, would be his performance in "Bullit." This is worth getting for the Magnificent Seven, or The Great Escape alone. The Thomas Crowne affair is icing on the cake. The Sand Pebbles is more of an acquired taste, but hey, it's free, with three classics. Depending on your point of view, five classic films, makes a great collection, even without "Bullit"

My dad and I have watched Great Escape from TV to VHS to DVD for over a decade as a go to movie every couple months. I didn't think it would be any better on Blu Ray but the DVD copy was skipping and I got it as a gift from dad. The picture really does look better in Blu Ray in this instance and it was cool to see it in a new way. I don't believe that all old movies translate to Blu Ray so well but this one did. I haven't gotten to see the others in the set yet though I think Bullitt should have been in here before Sand Pebbles, which I was never a huge fan of. Probably going to buy another copy for when I wear these out. New movies just don't have McQueen's classic style.

4 of Mcqueen's best movies on the Steve McQueen Collection and for a great price. "The Great Escape" itself is worth the cost of the collection. Steve stars with James Garner, Charles Bronson & James Coburn in this wonderfully told story about Allied prisoners that are in a German POW camp during World War II. This camp inpaticular houses all the Good Guys that have tried to escape at one time or another. So, it then becomes can the BEST ALLIES outsmart and orchestrate a successful escape. The other three movies are "The Magnificent Seven", "The Thomas Crown Affair" and "The Sand Pebbles". All four of these stand great by themself but together it's incredible.
