Q: Is the motor sealed so grass can’t get in it & start a fire?

Q: Can this be used to pick up leaves?
A: It’s probably inefficient with leaf collection. The metal tines would probably pick up some leaves, but the bagger is way too small even if the rake attachment is successful at “collecting” instead of poking at the leaves.

Great little machine. Very impressed.
This thing is great. I can't believe all of the dead stuff it pulled up. I filled 3 trash cans of dead grass and I have a tiny yard. I followed the advice of previous reviewers and left the collection bag off. I just went over it with my lawnmower to suck it up afterwards. I wish I had gotten it sooner as I probably over seeded too late in the season. I am looking forward to using it again in the spring. The only thing that annoyed me was having to drag the super heavy cord over the yard but it was a small nuisance.

Great Electrical Machine
I have used my Sunjoe about 5 times since purchasing in the Spring. I’ve not used a gasoline power rake, so I can’t say that this one is better, but I can say that the Sunjoe is better for my needs. I bought a 100ft extension cord that is long enough for me to complete my front and back yard. I find it easier to use it without the bag since the bag fills up quickly. Easy to change between thatch and scarifier attachments, and adjust the height. Overall satisfied with the purchase.

Best Buy sent me a used damaged product
Best buy sent me a used damaged product! This product you can tell was sold to someone and it was returned. There is still dirt inside the machine. There are bends in the plastic. I cannot believe Best Buy really believed I was gullible enough to think I was going to keep this product.
