A: No you do not need to Mount Your phone. I keep mine either in my pocket or in the glove compartment. You do need to mount the push button thingy that comes with it but that comes with a self adhesive sticker.

A: Hi! The Echo Auto is very easy to install yourself and does not need professional installation help. Echo Auto connects to Alexa through your phone's Alexa app and plays through your car's speakers via auxiliary input or your smartphone's Bluetooth connection. Step 1 Plug the USB cable into your car's power outlet using the included adapter, or directly into the USB port. Step 2 Use the Alexa app to begin set up. Make sure to download the latest version of the Alexa app. Step 3 Before every drive, make sure your phone's volume is turned up and the audio input (Bluetooth or auxiliary) is selected. Warning: Will NOT work on older cars. Don't bother
We were deceived by the store display. Bummer. We are very disappointed with this product. The store display and video says it is easy to connect and install. That is untrue and deceptive Best buy and Amazon fail to mention that this product will not work on older cars. Our cars are 15, 20 and 25 years old. We don't have any way to connect this to our current car radios. Our cars have no Bluetooth or plug in adapter that they mention in the instructions. If you dont have a newer automobile this product will not work. We will be returning these immediately.
