A: The keyboard doesn't detatch, but you can swing it around and fold it down behind the ipad to use it like just a tablet. The ipad itself is protected in a plastic case that is attached to the keyboard. It folds closed like a laptop and protects the ipad. Also the ipad can be popped out of the case easily if needed. I love it!

Q: How do I connect blue tooth
A: Hello, first be sure that your VersaType is charged. Then power one the keyboard by sliding the on/off switch to the right. While the Blue LED is flashing go to your iPad's Bluetooth settings and select the "Targus THZ857 Keyboard". It should now be connected. If it is not switch the keyboard off for 3 seconds and turn it back on. Than press "FN + C" and wait for the Blue LED to flash. Then go to your iPad's settings and select "Targus THZ857 Keyboard". Q: Does this work for the IPad 8th Generation 10.2”?
A: Yes, I use this with the 8th gen ipad. Fitment and use is perfect according to my daughter who uses it for school work...

A: Hello, based on information gathered from Apple Support on iPad models there is only one generation of the iPad Pro 10.5. That being the case then yes this will fit that model.
A: Hello, sorry about the issues that you have been having with the VersaType. Let me see if we are able to assist. There are two things that we can try. First please go to settings>Accessibility>Keyboards>Full Keyboard Access and it on. You may also while there want to check that things like Show Lowercase Keys is also turned on. If that does not help it could be something with the mapping of the keys to fix that go to settings>general>Keyboard>Hardware Keyboard and tap over at the right edge. There check to be sure that it is not set to Automatic. If it is you will want to change it to US or ABC most likely. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
