Q: Is this all I need ? Do I need a separate router or anything?
A: Hi Daveman, the Mesh Wi-Fi router can work with the single ethernet port from your modem that is supplied by your internet provider; however, most people have a router connected to the modem as two separate device or one device. One of the port from the router would need to be connected to a primary node. The other secondary node(s) will then be connected to the primary node and should be spread out for larger coverage of the Wi-Fi connection. Hope this helps. - Kevin.
Q: Is this MoCa and plug in to wall outlet and safe from hackers?
A: This is a router using the Mesh technology and not a MoCa. It works as an extender via WiFi, instead of coaxial cable. Yes, it is safe from hackers.
