How to install and activate Microsoft 365.

A Microsoft account is an e-mail address and password that you use to sign in to Windows and other Microsoft services on devices including your Windows PC, tablet, or phone. With a Microsoft account, you can download apps from the Windows store, back up your files using Microsoft's cloud storage and much more.

  1. First, confirm that your computer or mobile device meets the system requirements for running Microsoft 365.
  2. If your computer or device meets the requirements, you can get started here.
  3. Follow the instructions for signing in or creating a new account.
  4. After you are signed in, enter your 25-character Product Key and click "Next." You can find the Product Key in your Best Buy purchase history (when logged into your account), on your product receipt, or within the welcome email that was sent after you purchased your product.
  5. You should now be able to access and manage your Microsoft 365 products and subscriptions. Select the product you'd like to install, click "Install" and follow any additional prompts to complete the installation.
