How to create a Microsoft account.
A Microsoft account is an e-mail address and password that you use to sign in to Windows and other Microsoft services on devices including your Windows PC, tablet, or phone. With a Microsoft account, you can download apps from the Windows store, back up your files using Microsoft's cloud storage and much more.
Follow these steps.
- Go to signup.live.com.
- Enter your first and last name.
- To use an existing e-mail address, enter it in the User name box. To get a new e-mail address, tap or click Get a new email address.
- Fill out the rest of the form, then tap or click Create account.
- If you used an existing e-mail address to sign up, you'll receive an e-mail with a verification link that you'll need to click in order to complete the process.
