This case is really the full package. It's very slim and form fitting, it looks good, and it offers decent protection. The gel used to make the case is very sturdy, but flexible, easily allowing it to absorb shock if the phone is dropped.
One important feature that is often overlooked, is the lip on the top and bottom of the case, allowing the phone to sit face down without touching the screen to the surface. This provides protection in the event the phone is dropped and lands face down.
Only a couple of things bother me about the case. First, it collects lint and dust pretty easily in the creases near the screen. Next, the opening near the stylus is large, sacrificing protection. The stylus opening seemed to be more a decision of functionality than anything else. Because the stylus is spring loaded, and has to be pulled for removal, the opening needed to be somewhat open for comfortable use. If that corner hits, though, it could take damage easier than any other spot on the phone, with respect to a direct screen hit.
All in all, I like this case, and feel it is a good option for the Note 8.
