||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I bought this calculator for school and as a newbie to the scientific calculators it Took me some time to learn how to use it , but once I got past that I really like it. It’s a great calculator and since it does equations it’s a real time saver. I would definitely recommend especially if you’re looking for a school approved one.

TI’s smash hit!
||Posted .Extremely good Calculator for a even more attractive price. Only complaint is the backlight, or at least for me, the lack of one.

Perfect for Exams
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I purchased this calculator for my Fundamentals of Engineering exam. Not only does it work, but it has some expanded functionality in viewing multiple lines, showing fractions as top and bottom versions, and all without requiring a battery. I'm keeping it for when I take my Professional Engineer Licensing Exam.

My highest endorsement
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. When I was in high school I bought the older version of this calculator just because I wanted a cute calculator (the older version came in pink) Well, now I’m 23 and set to graduate with my degree in meteorology this year, and I’m rebuying this calculator only due to the fact that my original one fell victim to a bad apartment flood I had last year. When I received my funds from renters insurance, I went straight to Walmart in a mission to replace my beloved calculator. I went to 2 different Walmart’s and both didn’t have the 30XS, so I settled for the TI-30X IIS. I was so disappointed to find that model didn’t have the features that I loved the 30XS for. I did my research and discovered that the new version of this calculator is now blue, but the features are the same. NOTABLE FEATURES: -Answers are outputted as fractions automatically and it’s only two clicks to convert to decimal form if needed, although I find using fractions when I can helps during multi step weather calculations. -Similarly, answers will automatically set up with square roots and/or fraction form when calculating with trigonometry.

Q: QuestionIs it a good candidate for the ACT/SAT?
Asked by Anon.
- A:Answer This calculator is adequate for most ACT/SAT tasks. It won’t do graphs or matrices or imaginary numbers (complex numbers) but the ACT/SAT doesn’t have many questions that require a calculator for such tasks. My first choice would be TI-84/83, second choice is TI 36x Pro, and this would be my third choice.
