This 4 hour version is worth seeing, and do not see the edited shorter version because you’ll miss out on a lot of the details that make the story so subtly amazing. It is slow at times but very meditative about the creative process. And you get to see the beautiful Emmanuelle Béart. The conclusion was not predictable but if you think on it for awhile it makes sense. If you’re already a fan of foreign language films and this director I’m sure you have already seen this and likely already own this superb Blu-ray edition.

Excellent- though very slow which does not bother me in a movie, but if you need alot of things going on, then this is not the movie for you. I still highly recommend it - think of it as an artsy movie.
