I picked up this album based solely on the "Rock Credibility" of the band members. I flip through the diminishing CD racks for finds such as this, as it's getting harder to find places to actually buy a disc. Downloading has its' place, but I'm not interested in having a vast library housed on a hard drive or microchip. Vinyl is still around for a reason, and CD's have their place as well. I've got recordings by each of the Chesterfield Kings, Cars, Romantics and Blondie, and all are good. Andy Babiuk, Clem Burke, Elliot Easton and Wally Palmar are a fine aggregation who seem to truly enjoy this endeavor. The songs have great harmonies, memorable melodies, and deserve wider attention than they probably have gotten. I'd sure like to hear more from them. As one of my favorite songs on this album asks, "When you hear the voices, can you hear them loud and clear?" Yes, indeed I do.

When I realized this group contained members from the bands Blondie, The Cars and The Romantics I just had to buy it. With a lineup like this you just can't lose. Every song on this album is excellent. It has a bit of an 80's meets 70's sound to it. Great guitars, drums and bass.

I bought Empty Hearts for one reason Elliot Easton...he was the shredder of the cars. If this album was just an instrumental album it would be great. The singer is not good.
