Mami Sunada's documentary The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness gives viewers a look inside the working process of the famed Studio Ghibli, the animation house that has been home to the celebrated filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki. The filmmakers captured footage over the course of a year that saw new works being created by both Miyazaki and Isao Takahata.~Perry Seibert
If you enjoy the fantastic animation of Studio Ghibli, specifically that of Hayao Miyazaki, this is immediately worth a watch. It delves deep within the development of Miyazaki's last film, The Wind Rises, which itself is a masterpiece in its own right. You get to see the entire creation process, from the tedious drawing of the storyboards, to the voice acting recording, to press conferences promoting the film's release. Absolutely superb and inspiring in so many ways.
