  A meditative, insipirational journey

  I bought both of Tenth Avenue North's albums simultaneously, but was previously more acquainted with their earlier one "Over and Underneath." So, it was a good experience to encounter most of the music for the first time. Once again, the album was full of encouraging, inspirational lyrics that are not above the struggles of Christians. The first two tracks on the album are a introduction to the themes of the album of restoration, healing, grace, and freedom. They build up to arguably the best song on the track, "You are More." It is hard not to fall into tears when you hear this song, and the hope that our identity in Christ has overcome our past sins and scars. My four star review doesn't mean that I loved this album less than the band's previous album, but only that I loved the former more. Some of the songs have less content and build up and catchy tunes. The themes and words used seem to get a little repetitive. But they are so earnest that perhaps it is good that they are pounded into the listener's ears. A line that encapsulates the driving force of this band is in one of the songs, "I need your hurt, I need your pain, its not love any other way." Is that not what God expects of us? The songs are good relaxing music, and carry the spirit of the Psalmist in Scripture. The last track is like a lullaby in the form of a letter between God and a fearful sinner who can't sleep, and I can't be afraid while listening to it. The light has met the dark. Abide in the light.

  Very insperational

  This CD went over and above my expectations. Very insperational. It will lift your spirit and humble you all at the same time. Very well writen songs.
