unique love story
Harvey Keitel is great in this movie. he really demonstrates his range as an actor.

Thrilling Cinematic Experience
This was a very under rated movie for the Acting, and Story line was way beyond what critics gave it. I could not wait for what was to happen next. The cast of not so called Top box office stars just made it more realistic.
A mute woman along with her young daughter, and her prized piano, are sent to 1850s New Zealand for an arranged marriage to a wealthy landowner, and she's soon lusted after by a local worker on the plantation.
