    Jodeci's Latest and Greatest

From the intro to the outro (the roota to the toota), Jodeci got it right on all levels this go 'round. I'm biased because I was/am a huge fan, but here goes: Their first album, Forever My Lady, was very good on the slow tracks and love songs, but the up-tempo songs were horrendous, except for Come and Talk to Me, which was their stand out up-tempo single. On their second album, Diary of a Mad Band, they proved they could do some great up-tempo tracks, while still putting out stellar slow jams and love songs. With their third album, however, The Show The After-Party The Hotel, you can play every track, including the interludes and intermissions, back-to-back-to-back without skipping and just enjoy the experience - from the party tracks (i.e. Bring On Da' Funk and Get On Up) to the getting freaky tracks (i.e. Let’s Do It All, Pump It Back and Freak’n You) to name a few. Jodeci did an OUTSTANDING job in capturing fun and love experiences on this album and their musical maturity really shows. If you like Jodeci and this CD, then you should definitely indulge in their first 2 CD's as well, but this one is an example of how to make a classic R&B CD. I wish they would have stayed together for at least 1 more CD though because each album they put out kept getting better than the last. On the other hand, I suppose it’s better to end on a high note, rather than a sour one, and be remembered as one of the best, if not the best R&B male group of the mid 90’s.

Too many skits and not enough quality music

I love Jodeci, but this was a bad album and not in a good way. There were too many intro/outros, skits if you will, that made this a little bit boring. There a couple of tracks that were on point, but as a whole, it could have been alot better

I think that this was a good album. The ballads and Interludes stand out the most, but the fast songs could have been a little better. If you enjoy 90's music, then you should definitely purchase this album.
