I loved this game from the second I picked it up. I could literally spend hours on it. This game is very challenging and it gives you things to do and missions to go on all the time. The only thing I didn't like was that it was so short. I beat the game in about a few days of playing. Of course it gives you the option of beating the game at 100% however this could be very repetitive and kind of boring. Overall a great game. So great I wish they made it longer.

This game was fun, very interactive. If you love sims games youll love this one. It is just like the typical game play of any other sims game. my only complaint was that it was too short. they could have gone a little more in depth with it and added more things to do.

I've been playing the sims since it was first released on the PC Feb 10, 2000. I'm a HUGE fan. I have collected them all on the PC and whatever game system I have. I perfer the PC game but I have a Wii, DS, and 360 so I'll play those too. I like that there are goals, unlike the PC game. However, this game was entirly to short. I played the sims on the ds and it was ok but this way was to short. I enjoyed it for the few hours I played it though. It would have been great if it had a few more things to do. I was very disappointed and ran out to buy the WII game because this just seemed like a taste.....maybe that was the point. It was a upsetting to have paid 30 dollars for a game that only last a few hours and took nothing to beat.

I totally LOVED this game, you never will want to put it down. Even when yopu feel "stuck"! I played soo much my husband began to feel lonley! So I had him help with some of the mini games, he liked fishing though he really couldn't grasp what I was doing, I had gotten so involved by then it was hard to explain, a whole other world!
Took a while to win, but I am still playing trying to get all of the objects made!!
I miss the mystery of trying to figure out what to do!! Can't wait for another!

i love this game so much! my friend gave it to me because she didnt have the time to play it. i am a huge fan of the sims games so i gave it a shot one day that i had alot of free time. it was kind of slow-starting and i didnt really get what i was supposed to be doing at first so i looked online for some walkthroughs.. which really unleashed the game's full potential!
there's different things that you have to do and i'm trying to do it all on my own but when i get stuck i go back to the same walkthrough and check up. i definitly recommend this game to anyone teens and up. i dont think kids would find it fun, though.
also, the graphics aren't the greatest. very basic.

My 9-year-old daughter bought this game at a great price. My biggest mistake was playing it for the first time. I pulled an "all nighter"! It's totally addictive! I have won the game but am determined to find everything and make everything so I keep playing when I can. I was thrilled to discover today that there is a "castaway" game for Wii, and since we were given a Wii for Christmas, that game will definitely be my next video game purchase -- tomorrow at my local Best Buy -- early 40th birthday gift to myself. I hope it's as much fun as the DS version is! Oh, yeah, my daughters and I have fun speaking to each other in the Sim language. LOL.

Out of the 30 games for Nintendo DS that I own this one is my favorite. After creating a sim, your sim is dropped on an island left to figure out what to do. The first few minutes explain gameplay and then it is up to you. you have to make tools, find food, meet, help and trade with other castaway sims and find your way off of the island. The best part about this game is the amazing amount of things you can uncover. This game does not end when you find a way off of the island, most people never collect all of the items that are hidden. Find foods and unlock recipes to cook food for your sim. Dig for treasure! Dive for seashells! Catch bugs, and search for ancient treasure. I have mastered the game, deleted my files and played again, only to find that it is a whole new adventure. No two games play out the same! This game is well worth the money!
