Perhaps one of the best remakes...
The reboot the truly kicked off the Remake Boom of the early 2000’s; 2003’s TCM is truly one of the best of the pack. Boosted by solid performances from the film’s young cast & a standout performance from R. Lee Ermey as the town sherriff with alterior motives. Equal parts terrifying and schlocky fun, while it’s certainly different from the iconic original it’s an excellent updating.

Solid remake, for a change
One of the few 2000’s remakes of classic 70s and 80s horror films that’s actually decent. This has the necessary grit that the first one has plus Jessica Biel makes a great final girl. Can’t beat the price on this especially considering that it comes with an $8 coupon to go see “It part 2”.

Great remake
Few remakes can take an original and beloved film and amplify it. But seemingly TCM 2003 takes the concept of the Tobe Hopper classic and makes it something unique all its own. Adding to the mythology of the Sawyer family and their depraved ways. Great movie. Highly recommend!
