The World's End/Hot Fuzz/Shaun of the Dead [3 Discs] [Blu-ray]

Three slices of fried gold are what I call the movies in this collection. I can't really decide which I like the best because each definitely has its own special "flavor". Despite sharing hilarious comedy gags and themes of maturity & friendship. Shaun of the Dead - is a love letter to George Romero Zombie films & the movie that serves to introduce the talented team of: Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg & Nick Frost to mainstream audiences. Hot Fuzz - is a hilarious nod to buddy cop films & has a lot of great over the top action. The World's End - wraps up "The Trilogy" and is another great nod to Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Also serving to prove that you really can't go home again. This Blu-ray collection is also packed with extras for each film giving the fan plenty of behind the scenes Cornetto comedy.

If it wasn't for the case that they came in, I would give this a perfect 5/5. Seriously, the movies are AMAZING, and if you haven't seen it...well, what are you waiting for?? When I got my delivery (which WAS earlier than expected), I opened the case and instantly had pieces falling out of it! The clips were busted, spine shredded, and one of the push-in bits that hold the discs in place was hanging by a thread. Luckily, I made sure to check each and every disc inside to make sure nothing scratched them, and found that they were fine. Perhaps getting this from another vendor will help you avoid this problem; however, I DO highly recommend the movies themselves. Great acting, cinematography, and the humor isn't as juvenile/grotesque as most of the comedies coming out nowadays.

This is an excellent blu ray collection of the Cornetto Trilogy consisting of three films directed by Edgar Wright and starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. It includes, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead and End of the World. The films themselves are very funny, though I'm sure most would agree that Hot Fuzz is the least funny of the trilogy. Shaun of the Dead and End of the World are both very funny films. It's British humor, so it may not appeal to broad American audiences. The collection is chock full of extras for the fans. And the price makes it very affordable to own all three films.

Contains all three films of the Corenetto trilogy starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. These movies are hilarious send ups of zombie films, buddy cop pictures, and alien invasion movies. Instead of mocking the genre's these movies pay kind of a loving tribute, making us laugh at societies foibles, and our love of lowbrow entertainment. Written by Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg, the comedy is smart and devastatingly funny. Great deal to get all three Blu-Ray's and their digital file counterparts so you can carry it with you on the go!

It's interesting how you can come to love something as the Cornetto Trilogy. Started out as a cult following movie with Shaun of the Dead and ends on the anticipated The World's End. The extras even include the old outtakes and covers minor potholes from Shaun of the Dead while adding a color hue of the respected Cornetto used in each movie on their respective menus. Love the trilogy and was waiting to buy it for a long time. Now I can relive it as if it was the first time I saw each of them! A must buy!

I usually avoid most zombie movies. I've just never been into horror/gore-fest/scary type movies. A friend recommended I give Shaun of the Dead a try...and I loved every minute! Some time later, I watched Hot Fuzz, based solely on the strength of Shaun...and I wasn't disappointed! This collection is a great trio of comedies with just the right amount of British-style humour...and a great price for the package! Highly recommended

A great trilogy of three great films! If you already own Shaun or Fuzz, no need to double dip. There is nothing new on those discs. However, I bought this set for the packaging and gave my Shaun and Fuzz Blu-rays to a friend who hasn't seen them. And they loved them! They went and bought the World's Blu-ray from their Best Buy after. Great comedies, action and a lot of heart to these films! Buy this three pack...thrice!

The price was too good to pass to pick up all three of these movies on Blu-ray within one collection. Each movie is on their own separate disc, so the overall Blu-ray quality is good (and not compressed to fit on one disc for example). Any fan of this series should own this set.
