A: AnswerThe simple answer is yes. I think what they meant to say was. You can heat up to six items of cookware at the same time on the cooking surface at different temps. :)Answered by Anonymous
Q: QuestionThe video shows a downdraft ventilation. Is this available?(1 answer)
A: AnswerHello orthobill, thank you for your question and interest in model # CIT36YWBB. The downdraft shown in the video appears to be model # UCVP36XS.Answered by Thermador Team
Q: QuestionIf you move a pot, does it turn off heat to the pot, and also the pots as well?(3 answers)
A: AnswerNo, if you move the pot the electromagnets beneath the pot are activated. The problem is the circuit boards don't last long and are very expensive to replace.Answered by VNET

Q: QuestionIs Best Buy a Thermador (BSH) authorized dealer?(1 answer)
A: AnswerHi Matt, thanks for your question. Best Buy is an authorized dealer for Thermador.Answered by Thermador Team
Q: QuestionDoes this require ventilation, either a down draft or hood?(2 answers)
A: AnswerI would always demand that any cooking surface have a hood - even the cheesy recirculating hood is better than none. That being said, I do not believe there are any code requirements that demand you have a down draft or hood. The device certainly doesn't require one - although there does need to be space underneath it to allow for the circulation of air.Answered by BrianM
- A: AnswerHello Keypoint, thank you for your question and interest in model: CIT36YWBB. Cooktops are not designed to be left unattended. It is recommended to operate the appliance directly from the appliance itself and always monitor during the cooking process. Therefore, it is not possible to operate the appliance using the Home Connect™ app during this time.

Welcome to the next generation of cooking!
Welcome to the new world of cooktops. I’ve been cooking my whole life. I’m a foodie. I thought that has was the ultimate. Maybe it was up to a couple years ago. Thai stove top is much faster with boiling water - literally in seconds. And the control over the heat is mind boggling. I’ve never seen anything like this before. I am amazed with this technology. And it’s easy to clean and looks great.

To Buy or Not to Buy - That is the Question
So, I was replacing this model with a newer one as the old one stopped working. The new one arrived, was installed, and did not work as well as the old one did. But it was beautiful and the bells and whistles were much more improved over the old unit (literally, the new unit made sounds and had added features such as pot prewarming as well as the standard fast boil). However, that may be because the new one was defective - something you would not expect for an item this expensive. The left side would turn on and begin heating, but after a period of time would shut down and appeared to only work at half the rated capability - it wouldn't even fry an egg once it stepped down its power level. The right side would heat up and do just fine, but if you were doing extended cooking on that side - it would just shut down and wouldn't turn back on until it had cooled down. Both of those conditions are a no-sale for me as I do a lot of cooking, including long term simmering. Fortunately, this happened within the 14 day return window and I didn't have to deal with trying to get it repaired. My biggest fear was that they did what a lot of companies do and messed with a winning product making it nowhere near the quality and usefulness of the original. Now I'm nervous about repurchasing. Based on my feelings right now, I cannot recommend the product especially when I compare it to my model from 2014....
