These are great for getting to know where things are, however, if you were expecting an alert if you got too far away from your stuff, you’re going to be disappointed. The closest thing Tile can do is tell you if you leave a pre-defined place (like Home or Work) without your things, but you’re out of luck if say, you forget your wallet at a restaurant, you’ll only realise far too late. Tile Slim has worked consistently for me, however the two Tile Mate in this kit have died on me, only to realise 28 days later (tile shows a banner in the app). Got one of them replaced under warranty and the other just died shortly after. I like the app and customer service, but the hardware has been hit or miss.

A great need is being filled by Tile!! Great products and very useful!!! Love being able to find my keys, wallet, phones, you name it I can now find it!!!

I purchased tile mates for my kids, nieces and nephews for Christmas, and within a week of being used, one of them broke off my daughter's key chain. They are not durable products. Even worse, per the Tile company "physical damage isn't covered by warranty." No replacement for a product that has been used for a week and broke doing it's primary function - hanging off a key chain. But they did offer me a discount on a new one - how nice. Avoid this product! Per Tile: Our Tiles were built to last and are made of materials that are both light and durable. That said, there may come a time when you find that your Tile has suffered damage that renders it nonfunctional. Unfortunately, physical damage is not covered by the warranty. In this particular situation I can offer a 20% discount towards another Tile purchase. I'm sorry that this has happened, though I do appreciate your understanding.

I got my first Tile free last year with a promotion and loved it. I used it to keep track of my keys AND my cell phone (which I can ring from my keys). When I needed another key tracker, I almost bought another brand that was on sale. But then I Googled comparison reviews and found the top tech sites rank Tile as having the loudest ringer and the best range. Also, Tile has a large network of users, and they help track each other's Tiles. If you lose whatever is attached to your Tile, it will show up on a map when another Tile user is within range of the item with their app turned on. So I ordered two packs of 4 Tiles this time. We hid one in our vehicle in case it's ever stolen, one in our travel trailer for the same reason, and attached another to our dog's collar just in case. I gave one to my son for his keys, and used one for my second set of keys. Last week I also gave a Tile to a friend who is always losing her keys, and she has used it several times already. These new Tiles come with replaceable batteries, which the original version did not have. Those batteries were only good for about a year, and then you had to replace the Tile. So make sure you're buying the NEW 2018 version with replaceable batteries. The 4 packs at their current price cost only less than $15 per Tile (with Prime). I've saved literally hundreds of dollars in time and potential locksmith expenses—not to mention the peace of mind gained—using my Tiles (which is why I bought so many this time). It's one of the best investments I've ever made, and I highly recommend them. *I am NOT associated with the maker or any seller of Tile in any way; this is my honest, unsolicited opinion.

I always always always lose my wallet and keys. Having the slim in my wallet and the mate on my keys has been great for me. One time, since I've gotten them, I was unlocking my car so that I could put several items from the grocery store in. After helping my daughter in the car, I found that I somehow misplaced the keys so I could turn the car on. I looked in every pocket but nothing. Out came my phone to call up the app, and it turns out I had put the keys in one of the grocery bags by mistake so that I could have both hands free to help with the car seat. I also love that if you have your keys but lost your phone, you can press the button to make your phone ring. And the replaceable battery means that it will be of use for some time.

After losing my keys and spending a long time looking for them before being able to leave for the holidays, I was given this. As soon as I could I downloaded the app and set this product up for my keys and other items. The app is super easy to download and use. My problem is that the way you find your item is by going to the app and then hitting the "Find" button for the device you want to find. Tile "finds" it by playing a little tune that comes out of the Tile. That's nice, but it isn't helpful if you're in a loud room, are hard of hearing, or have other audio issues like that. There is additional help to find it on your phone visually, but that costs more money after a trial period. If we could fix those issues, this device would be perfect.

I like the fact that the newer Tiles have replaceable batteries (except for the Slims), so I didn't hesitate to get these when my old Tiles ran out of juice. This pack is a great value for what you get, and while I haven't needed to find a lost Tile very often, it's always worked as advertised. I keep the Tile app open on my phone all the time, so when I get a message that I've helped someone find a lost Tile I feel good about participating in the community. I keep a Tile Mate on my keyring, the Slim in my wallet and the others on other valuable items. The small cost is worth the ability to quickly locate a temporarily misplaced item, even if you aren't the sort of person that easily loses things.
