The birth of a great romance
This is the first pairing of Bogart and Bacall. Lauren Bacall made her film debut here and she is electric. No wonder Bogie fell for her like he did. The iconic "you know how to whistle" scene stands up to this day.
And just watch Bacall's exit from the bar. The look she gives Bogart is a potent omen of things to come. Great debut and a terrific film.

Great Classic
We already had a copy of this movie, quite old, that started skipping. We have watched it too many times to count! We ordered another copy because we like it so much. Love Bogie and Bacall together.
