Very pleasant online shopping experience.
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This is another movie that was so popular in the '90s that it is now selling on many websites at grossly elevated prices. Best Buy had the lowest price and the shipping was easy to track. I received the DVD very quickly and it was in perfect condition.

Don't call me 'TOOTSIE ', says Hoffman, in drag...
|Posted .Out of work 'obnoxious' actor, Hoffman, takes the only job he could get after he auditioned for the part in 'drag'! BUT now.... he has to continue his charade, as an actress, to keep the job. Sounds like an easy chore for the long-time out of work actor. But it gets complicated after he falls in love with his daytime soap opera co-star(Jessica Lange) and then, her father(Charles Durning) develops a crush on him. And let's not forget his long-suffering girlfriend(Teri Garr) who has been trying to figure out just what is going on. You'll love this movie but just don't call him 'Tootsie', as Dabney Coleman came to regret.

No Disguising this great Blu-ray!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendCriterion can do no wrong with their Blu-ray releases. A good transfer and audio with informative and eye-opening extras (see Hoffman and Pollack discuss things intensely) make this much worthy!

Tootsie is an ABSOLUTE CLASSIC...
|Posted .If you don't have this in your library you don't know just what you are missing. In some parts it is hysterically funny and other parts poignant, then even some silly, you gotta have that! I watch this one and enjoy it each time. I'm glad it is in my library and you will you. I look for overall entertainment rather than being a critic. I want to get my monies worth and have an entertaining time. And Tootsie does it for me.
