Q: Is this hard drive compatible with Macs and as a Mac systems backup?
A: As I know that this hard drive does not have any software to backup anything. You have to check toshiba website that they have any software to support Mac backup. You can do manual copy the folder before you can do it, you have to reformat the hard drive to Mac OS format before you can store data on the hard drive.
