A Great Smart Bulb for Beginners!
I purchased a 5-pack of the Tapo TL135E smart bulbs on January 2, 2025, and I've been very happy with them so far! Setting them up was easy peasy – the process was quick and intuitive. I primarily use them with Alexa, and the integration has been seamless. The Tapo app is user-friendly, which is a huge plus for someone like me who isn't super tech-savvy. I love how bright and colorful these bulbs are, especially when I switch them to different colors. They really liven up the room! So far, I mainly use them to turn the lights on and off with voice commands via Alexa. I've also linked them to my morning alarm, so the lights gradually brighten to help me wake up. It's a much gentler way to start the day! While I haven't explored all the features yet, I can already see the potential. I would definitely recommend these bulbs, especially to anyone who is new to smart home technology or who wants a simple, reliable, and affordable way to add smart lighting to their home. If you are more tech savvy than me, you will love all the other features! Pros: Easy to set up and use. Seamless integration with Alexa. Bright and colorful lighting. Great Matter-enabeled LED Bulbs - 2 Pack
The Tapo TL135E 2-pack is the perfect light bulb product when automating your home! These Matter-enabled LED bulbs are so simple to setup. Simply screw them in, and my Android phone instantly detected them as Matter-certified. After scanning the QR Code included in the packaging, within a minute they were ready to use. I have both a Google Home and Alexa Smart Home environment. TheTL135E's works well in either environment. I used Alexa to pair these two bulbs together, so a voice command will turn on or off both at the same time using Hey Google or Alexa. The Tapo app enhances the settings by allowing fine-tuning of the LED colors and brightness, whether setting the white Kelvin color or a rainbow of other colors! The Tapo app also allows me to set a Schedule to turn on or off the lights based on sunrise, sunset or any time you choose. The app also shows energy usage for the past day, 7 days or 30 days.

Great Bulbs, Poorly Labeled
[Employee of bestbuy] These light bulbs get really bright, and I love that they are matter bulbs so it’s super simple to use them with my Apple Home. I also love that they offer local control, so they respond very quickly. However, my bulbs pairing codes came mislabeled. First, two of my bulbs share the exact same pairing code, however, both bulbs actually used different pairing codes than what was put on the bulb. A third bulb used the pairing code printed on the first two. One of the bulbs doesn’t pair with any of the codes. So just beware that these bulbs may not have the right pairing codes, which will make them impossible to use with other Matter devices. I will be exchanging these bulbs and I should update the review with more information. If I don’t update this review, the new bulbs are likely working well.
