  • Initial evaluation and consultation: When we arrive at your home, we'll evaluate the service area and discuss the scope of work to ensure that the services purchased meet your needs and expectations. If they don't, we'll recommend solutions.
  • Delivery, unboxing and assembly: Your service includes delivery to a room serviced by an elevator or up to the third floor. Then, we’ll unbox your new TV and attach it to a base or pedestal. For some TVs, the delivery and installation may be scheduled separately.
  • Placing on existing furniture: Once assembled, we’ll place your TV on an existing entertainment stand or piece of furniture.
  • Plugging in and testing: Once the work is complete, we’ll plug the TV into an existing outlet and test functionality. We’ll make sure the TV works as intended and is free from defects or damage.
  • Neatly dressing visible cables: We'll make sure that all wires and cables are neatly dressed and that wire ties are used when necessary.
  • Cleaning up and removing packaging: After the installation, we'll clean up the work area and remove any packaging your products came in.
  • Removing an old TV: We can reinstall your existing TV into another room in your home or haul it away to be recycled. This does require additional services and fees.

Q: Does TV Basic Setup, 56" to 90" include hooking it up to cable box? Does it include hooking up a hdmi cable to my RCA audio system, using a Insignia™ - HDMI to RCA Converter - Black? For this can I use a normal HDMI cable?

A: Short answer, no. They didn't test anything other than to see if the tv turns on. For my Samsung tv, they made sure the remote worked and left me with the tv software starting its setup mode, much like a new pc computer. You are responsible for getting your cable tv service to connect with your new tv. The installer reluctantly agreed to plug the hdmi cable from the cable box into the tv input portal, and that was the extent of help. In my opinion the $120 tv setup fee is a ripoff. You can probably pay an independent install company to do a real setup including connecting cable service etc for the same price or less. The only reason to use BestBuy's tv setup service is to avoid the situation where they deliver a defective tv and you don't discover the problem until after you have someone else install the tv and then have an issue with getting BestBuy to exchange the defective tv for a properly working tv.

Q: WILL THE TECH PROGRAM MY REMOTES AND CONNECT TO MY WI FI AND CABLE COX ALSO WILL THEY DO THE UPDATES

A: The Tech did everything necessary competently and with a great attitude.

Q: I need a 55" Samsung TV mounted. I have the mounting already. Can you help??

A: You should be able to mount your tv to the wall mounting assuming the mount is for the Samsung tv.

Q: Question: Which istallation package do I use?I have an existing TV wall mount already installed. 1) I need TV backet installed and TV hung on existing TV mount. 2) Hook up TV (Streaming Device, Sound bar, program remote, connect ethernet and HDMI cabl

A: The basic package doesn’t include any of that, you need the most expensive package and a few add on packages to accomplish that, however I am not sure if they are allowed to use your existing TV wall mount.
