Q: Is this made of a solid piece of wood or composite wood?
A: I'm not positive every bit of it is wood, but the top, bottom sides and shelves are solid wood. It is very sturdy. We like ours a lot. We purchased the one shown in the picture with the question.
Q: Is assembly required or does this come fully assembled?
A: Does require assembly and is more brown than gray

A: It is a dark brown color. The gray is barely noticeable. It doesn't look like the color in the picture at all. I'm boxing it up and returning it. Kind of a hassle since the package weighs 117 lbs.

A: The box it comes in is around 18-24" x 65"
