Q: The title says "espresso" but the specifications say a black wood grain finish, so is this a dark brown or black console?

A: It is a very dark brown. It's not black but it it's dark enough that it blends in with black furniture. If you're familiar with the espresso color this is it.

    Q: TV Mounting

A: No, this mount has no way of mounting any TV to it. This will only allow you to set a TV on top of it utilizing the TVs own base.

    Q: Would this support a 56" tv?

A: Yes. The screen will be slightly wider than the stand, but only by about an inch. I have a 55" TV on it and it fits great.

Q: Is this made by Sauder?

A: equivalent to if not not better quality than Sauder...I have put together products from both and noticed a slight difference in design.

Q: If a TV stand's measurements fit and meets the weight requirements why would it not support a rear projection TV?

A: This answer is for future customers since the original question was asked approx 3 1/2 months ago and that person probably isn't looking for an answer anymore! The manufacturer says it can hold 95 pounds. It is 47 1/2" W and at the narrowest area 17" D. If you keep within those boundaries it seems to me it shouldn't matter what is set upon the top of the console. Just don't go over the 95 pounds -and- don't have anything hanging beyond the 17" D. Those are the statistics this console was found to be acceptable for and what the console was designed to accommodate. I'd get an opinion from a carpenter too since they work with wood.
