Excellent MMA game

This game is a must have for any MMA fan, but also for anyone that wishes to try something new from the standard button mashing in video games. To start off, this game is very deep. It is no game anyone can pick up and learn everything at first try. Not saying you can still have a blast mashing buttons to your amusement. Simply put, there are two parts to the game, the ground and stand-up. The ground game is probably going to be harder to understand. This is where the tutorial in-game comes along. It does a very fine job of teaching basic techniques and concepts in the UFC. I myself did not know anything, but now know a bevy of things. What's great about this game is the fact that everything can be countered. The visuals are amazing, especially on a high powered HDTV. The sweat and cuts fighters show look photo-realistic, aside from the create-a-fighters. Many fighters such as Chuck Liddell, GSP, and BJ Penn are in here, as well as newcomers such as Brock Lesnar. It should be noted that men like Ken Shamrock and Randy Couture are absent from the roster. Career mode is where you create your own fighter and take them up the ranks. This mode seems way too hampered by menus, and long loading. This certainly takes away from the experience, as most would like to get to the fighting that makes the game what it is. I also wished that next year would let you use real life fighters in it. A classic fights mode is present, where you must recreate the results of real UFC classics. Any MMA fan would love to unlock the montages of the fights you receive upon completion. Many personalities such as Bruce Buffer, Mario Namasaki, Herb Dean, Steve Mazigatti, two UFC ring girls, and the commentators Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg. These people really add to the brand known as UFC. The computer is just the start of polishing up your skills, the meat of the replayability is online, where all opponents you face have different strategies, which never make this game dull. It should also be noted that the default setting in offline play is beginner; so you should crank up the difficulty if it is too hard, since on beginner the computer rarely counters. Online is addicting, you are constantly wanting to rank up and face challengers. Matchmaking is done so in this, ranked or unranked. You must have a good connection when online though, since lag can make the difference between having fun and countering and seeing who lands the most blows and falls. Despite some faults, this game is superb in delivering intense moments and the feel of a UFC event on PPV.

Reserved this game a month before it came out for my PS3 and I tell ya well worth the wait because as an MMA fan myself I really enjoyed it whether it's playing against someone or the cpu. The good thing about this game is that there are 80 fighters to choose from, the different wait class, the career mode, and you can also unlock some great fight videos as well. The bad things are navigating through all the menu is really time consuming control is also a little bit difficult when working the ground game and the last thing that bugs me is that it is really hard to submit a cpu opponent when playing career mode but all and all it's a fun game and a must have for every gamer that likes fighting games or if you are and MMA fan.

This is a truly awesome game. The characters are true to their real life counterparts. It is not just a game that you pick up and beat. You really have to practice. The strikes and the ground game are fantastic. There is a new fighting game in the arena. Watch out Fight Night !!!

This game is absolutely amazing! With over 80 UFC fighters and 5 different weight classes, there is always a new fight combination and tons of variety. You can stand up and strike or you can take it to the ground and squeek out a submission or jus pound your opponent. The carreer mode is pretty solid but does have room for improvement. The online mode allows you to fight ur friends or anyone else, would like to see something like Fight Night 4 has with the championship mode and fight for the belt, that would jus elevate UFC so much more. Classic fights mode is a nice look and u can try to recreate of the greatest fights in UFC history. The controls are extremely complicated and does limit the fact that u cant jus pick up the controller and fight ur friends but personlly i like that becuz that way u cant button mash urself to victory like countless other fighting games

The game is addictive, and it's just the first of its series. I am pretty sure this game will be out with a #2, #3, etc. It takes a mintue to learn the controlls, but once you have a basic idea, you can start beating the $#@% out of people. Best fighting game that has ever came out. Fight Night had great hype when it came out, but look how repetitive the game has become. I can not see this happening with the UFC undisputed. I recommend this game to everyone.

Overall, amazing. However, there are a few things that are not impressive. First, the loading takes longer than any other game, no matter what mode you are in. Also, the sweat, blood and nearly everything else looks real. There are a few times in the game where I can hit the other fighter 50 times in the face and get hit once with a hamerfist and get K.O. These are just minor problems. The ring girls make up for this.

This game definitely sends the blood rushing through the veins. Its very high and intense. You almost forget that you're playing a game. It draws you in so quickly. When you lose you want to get right back in the ring, but the killer blows when your oppoinent is down is awesome! The focus attacks are not to shabby either...lol Great buy. Can't wait to purchase the actually game.
