Synopsis

Vegas Vacation
This is the fourth in a series of movies that began with National Lampoon's Vacation in 1983 and feature the family headed by Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) going on wacky vacations. This time, the Griswolds visit Las Vegas. Clark immediately goes to the blackjack table and starts blowing all his money, continually encouraged to spend more and more by a taunting dealer, Marty (Wallace Shawn). Ellen Griswold (Beverly D'Angelo) becomes smitten with the lounge singer Wayne Newton (playing himself), who invites her to sing onstage with him. Their son Rusty (Ethan Embry) is incredibly lucky playing dice, and he is virtually adopted by a family of gangsters who see him as their meal ticket. Daughter Audrey (Marisol Nichols) gets hooked up with her wild cousin Vickie (Shae D'Lyn), who takes her to sleazy dance clubs. White-trash cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid), who lives on a former A-bomb test site in the nearby desert, also gets involved with the capers. ~ Michael Betzold, Rovi

I bought this movie mostly to complete my Vacation collection on BD. The price is little on the steep side at $15. But to complete my collection, i decided to go for it. The video quality and audio are excellent! There are no extras, only a trailer i think i recall? A real fan of the Vacation movies know and will appreciate it for what it is. Its got some good laughs. Its the typical Chevy Chase kind of a comedy. If you can wait for the price to drop, like the others for around $10, I'd wait. But if you're eager and unpatient like me, you'll probably pull the trigger on this.

This "Vacation" movie is by far the best in the series. They all have a place in my collection. I would rank them in this order: 1. Vegas Vacation, 2. Christmas Vacation. 3. European Vacation. 4. The original, which still gives me an earworm of the theme song, lol. That's just my personal preference. If you haven't been to Las Vegas in the last 10 years, it would probably not rank as high in your ranking.

The Griswolds are back for another vacation and I believe its possibly the best out of all of them. This DVD will be a great addition to anyones DVD collection. The lack of Special Features is the only diasappointing feature of this DVD when you compare it to other DVDs in the series. Put that aside and you have a great movie in which I believe everyone should own because its a true classic.

A huge fan of the previous 'National Lampoon's Vacation' films, I couldn't comprehend how it was possible to make a movie as bad as this one turned out, especially considering the cast involved. Then it struck me, this wasn't an official 'National Lampoon's' project, which basically tells all. Widescreen.

Although very watchable, I feel this one falls a little flat compared to the other 3(Original, European, Christmas). Still has the "family is what's important" moral, along with the humor you expect. I recommend it as it is just nice to hang with the Griswolds once again.

I saw this movie on TV a long time ago so when I saw the DVD in Best Buy I had to get it. I had forgotten a lot about the movie so I really enjoyed watching it again. My son is watching it now and I can hear him laughing. It was an excellent buy.
