Q: Obviously I would need a VCR player as the source, a computer to receive the converted digital information. Is other software or accessories required?

A: No, the Video 2 PC has everything you need to get started converting your tapes right out of the box! :)

Q: Could this unit be used to connect a PC to an older model TV that only has composite A/V jacks? The goal is to use the older TV as a monitor to display what is on the newer PC.

A: The Video PC takes signal from an AV source such as a TV or VCR and allows you to capture it on your computer. It does not send video back out. It has composite A/V Jacks, but they are inputs only.

Q: Is this the MKII (HD) model?

A: No, this is not a HD model.

Q: Can I use this to convert old VCR tapes to disks thru our laptop computers? They do have disk writers on them.

A: Yes, just hook up the VCR using the cables and with the software you will encode the old tapes :-D

Q: What is the resolution of this model? Is it the 1200x750?

    A: The screen resolution is 1024 x 768.
