  I just recently purchased this sound bar and upon receiving it in the mail I was excited because of the way it looked. Upon hooking it up I noticed that the sub woofer wasn't working. I tried linking it multiple times to the soundbar with no success. Finally, (after about an hr.) I linked the subwoofer and sound bar and all I heard was a buzzing sound from the woofer. It was a constant humming sound that was extremely annoying. I had best buy ship me a new one thinking that it was maybe just some faulty wiring, but the next one came 2 days later and I ended up having the same problem with the 2nd one. The sound quality itself from the sound bar was not great at all by itself either. I know I'm not spending that much money for the product, but I atleast wanted something better than my hdtv's simple sound system. All-in-all this product was not great...I would not recommend it to anyone.

  NOT New, RECERTIFIED!

  BUYER BEWARE. I ordered a "new" soundbar and Best Buy sent a "recertified" one and it clearly says on the box that the Vizio warranty is void. Just got off of the phone with customer service and they confirmed that the website says new, but their internal order screens say refurbished. They offered an exchange, but can't guarantee that I won't get a refurb the second time around too. So, it may be a good price and may be a decent item, but also may not be what you think you're getting.

  Great sound at a great price

  Ok, I was lucky enough to purchase the refurbished version of this product. Being a refurbished product, the model I received does have light scratches on the bar and sub woofer. However, the scratches have no bearing on sound performance whatsoever. Immediately after connecting the unit with the included red and white a/v cables, I noted a huge difference. The sound is a remarkable step up from my 46' Bravia tv. Dialogue is clear and easily understood without straining. The product has great bass from the subwoofer. Subwoofer synced up automatically with the sound bar #no issues# . It provided my family with a sense of being at the movies. We viewed the blu ray copy of the hunger games. During the scene where Catniss is awakened by the burning of her environment, only one word can be used. WOW!!! At intense moments in movies, the sub woofer kicks in to give you the adrenaline rush matching the action. One takewaway is that the remote must be pointed directly at the sensor to operate. Not a big deal in my opinion. My only concern as with any electronics purchase, is will the product provide durability? I'm no audiophile, but this is worth a look, for anyone seeking better sound at a reasonable price. Thumbs UP!!!
