Very easy to assemble.Did it myself taking my time,took me 2hrs. to assemble.Directions are excellent.Layed out everything first to make sure all pieces where there and no damage.

Very important that the manufacturing company checks every part before packing! I had the BAD experience of receiving two of the same front legs, which I had to wait over a week for replacement of the part, not being able to set up my new Samsung 65” TV also purchased @ BBY

- A:Answer Hi Prince, There are two switches on the front of the unit to control the heat and flames. They are always accessible and you should not get burned while operating either. The vent on the front does get hot, because it is blowing out hot air, but this should not affect your ability to use the switches. This is a simple plug-in unit, so it does need to be near an outlet. We hope this helps in making your decision!

- A:Answer Hi Maria, As far the heat itself, there is only on and off. However you can control the heat and flames separately. So if you'd like to have the flames on, and turn the heat off, you can do so. Hope that helps!

- A:Answer Hello! This stand does not come with a remote. The shelves are adjustable, and the BTU is 4400. There are two different options for the fireplace insert: an option for just the flames, and another option for both the flames and heat. Yes, the flame lights are LED.
