Q: We bought the Arlo cameras for my MIL and we have to charge them at least once a week sometimes more. How long should the batteries last after being fully charges?

A: This depends on a lot of variables. If the signal is weak they use more power so if you can bring it closer to the base station or move the base station to a more central location it would help. You can check signal strength from the "Devices" tab on the app. Arlo makes a bridge but I just moved my base station to a higher location on top of a cabinet and it helped. Also, the more the camera detects motion the more power it uses, especially in the dark when the infrared is used. Moving the camera where it gets less false motion (like away from a busy street) helps. You can also mount it in combination with a regular light or motion light to reduce the use of the infrared. An example of this would be leaving a porch light on for a porch mounted camera. The images are better and more useful to law enforcement with regular lighting anyway. The battery for the camera over my garage used to last a week but I moved the base station to a higher location, I installed a motion light over the garage, and positioned the camera where it doesn't pick up street traffic and now it lasts more than a month!

Worked five, but charges slow
Ive been wanting to buy alro battery charger for a while. The main reason why I wanted a charger to to lessen the down time for my cameras. This charger works fine. The only problem I have is that it takes longer to charge the battery on this device vs. changing the battery directly on the camera.

Charge two Arlo batteries at once!
I bought this because I wanted to be able to charge my Arlo batteries more than one at a time since they can take a few hours to recharge. I got a great price with a sale, so it made it kind of a no brainer for me.

Must have for your Arlo Cameras
I have many Arlo cameras and security lights and was quite tired of having adaptors laying everywhere charging the batteries. I purchased one of these and am glad I did. Popping the batteries in two at a time means I can keep extra batteries charged and ready to replace others in the security equip. The only con is the right side sticks a little, so when you click it down so the battery makes connection to recharge, sometimes it does not click all the way and you have to pop the battery back out and do it again. It's a small thing, so I still recommend this product, I have been very satisfied with mine.
