A: Hello Joe ,Sony added support for external USB hard drives on the PS5 with their April 2021 update. However, due to PS5 restrictions, games can only be played off the console’s internal SSD. Q: Will this fit on a PCI-e 2 slot?
A: No, it only fits in an m.2 NVME port. You can pug in an adapter to that slot and insert an m.2 or two for under $20.00.
