A: If you only want to shut the power off and on to all of these devices at the same time then yes. If you want to control the functions of those devices then no.
A: No hub is necessary for this to work with Alexa. You need to enable the Wemo skill under the Alexa app and once you have installed this Wemo WiFi plug, you have to discover in your Alexa app. Then it should work flawlessly.
A: Hello. Yes, you can control the connected device through the local and remote network. However, please note that devices with a digital interface such as televisions may not turn ON when the Wemo plug’s power is resumed and instead would go into standby mode.
Q: Is it OK if a (cloth) drape touches the right end of the plug or is that a fire hazard?
A: Doesn’t get hot enough for me.
A: I’ve been using one plugged into a power strip for about 67 months now I don’t see why it wouldn’t work if you plug the power strip into the Wemo plug adapter at the shouldn’t make any difference unless you have a way to much plugged into the power strip I would think
Q: Is this compatible with Google Assistant? If yes, the WEMO Hub is required?
A: Works with Google Assistant. No hub required.
Q: Can I use it outside in a covered outlet?
A: You technically could, but I would not as there is still the possibility of moisture affecting this. It's not designed for that.
A: These devices are basically just an on/off switch for anything plugged into jt. So anything you plug in (ie: power strips with devices plugged in) will be all or nothing. You will not be able to control tje power for each device separately. You'll have to buy one smart plug for each device to control them separately.
