A classic speaker Reborn.
As someone constantly on the search for the best sound possible, these speakers are freaking awesome! I am a big Klipsch fan for home theater. I have some old Kg 4's I use on a vinyl setup. Those are never being discarded. However I have sold two pairs of KLF-10's, an RC-52, and some Bose 401's over the years.
I auditioned Wharfedale Jade 3 and the Denton 80th. The Jade was superb, but a little too articulate for my taste. The Denton has the warmth and mellowed treble missing from my Klipsch for 2-channel use. Awesome build quality, I vote best in its class, These speakers rock and deserve serious audition time. I also listened to B&W 683/685 but they were a little bass shy for me.

Great Craftmanship
I purchased a pair of Wharfedale Crystal 40's a while back and was thoroughly impressed for a $100 pair of speakers, When the time cam to replace my main speakers I looked at Wharfedale again. The Denton's looked promising so I took the gamble to buy a pair of speakers without hearing them first. The fit and finish are excellent and the sound is deep and rich with surprising bass for such a small pair. The depth is excellent and the highs are bright and clear. I love them and will most likely have them for quite sometime.

Awesome Speakers!
I purchased these awesome speakers to replace a pair of very good old Klipsch Kg 4's as my everyday stereo speaker. I am a very big Klipsch fanatic, and don't plan on ever getting rid of my original Kg's. That being said, my older ears have become sensitive to the shrill high frequency response of Klipsch. The size of these speakers compared to one another is a really big difference. Almost not a fair comparison for speaker dynamics, but honestly the Denton's hold their own and have no fatigue at all. I love the musicality of these small speakers and when I want to crank the amp, they take it in stride and just play beautifully.
The relaxed treble response is exactly what I needed, and yet they play very detailed. Nothing in the musical presence is missing. It is just a very nice warmish balance. I read forums, listened to as many comparisons as I could manage, and researched all the differences on all major websites between a large array of loudspeakers. I am very impressed with these and my search for an awesome pair of speakers is at an end.
They are also very nicely finished with real mahogany veneer. I honestly can't find any fault with these. I am very satisfied.
I listen mostly to heavy metal, metal core, prog rock, classic rock, and the Denton's just love all sorts of music. Highly recommended while supplies last
