      DON'T BUY THIS FRIDGE. DOESN'T DESERVE 1 STAR!!!

      This was the first brand new appliance that I have ever purchased and I wish I had never had purchased this refrigerator. Huge Mistake that has cost my family a ton of money. I purchased this refrigerator in March 2017. When the refrigerator was delivered the bins that attach to the door by the ice maker did not fit correctly. From March until May the production of ice created by the refrigerator and freezer ice makers was declining. By May 2017 the refrigerator had stopped cooling completely. I called Best Buy Geek Squad (they have been great to work with by the way). Geek Squad was at our house a handful of times over a period of 6 months to try to get the refrigerator working before I finally asked for a replacement. I was told I most likely got a lemon so I opted to do an exchange for the exact same refrigerator. We received the new refrigerator in September 2017. Between March and September, I had to throw away countless amounts of groceries costing us hundreds to thousands of dollars $$$. We also had to spend a ton of money on eating out. Not having the ability to feed your own family or even keep food in the house is very very frustrating. When the installation crew delivered the new refrigerator, they dropped a drawer and a piece of plastic broke off. The crew upon leaving told my husband everything was working properly. My husband held up the piece of plastic and said “I don’t think so”. He asked them to please remove the bin from the faulty refrigerator to replace the brand new one. Point is, the installation crew tried to sneak out of our house leaving us with a broken drawer on a brand-new refrigerator. That same night I tried using the water dispenser. At first it wouldn't dispense any water. I did some troubleshooting and determined that the water filter was not installed properly. I re-installed the filter and tried the water dispenser again. Still no water. I opened the refrigerator door to find the filter leaking water all over the inside of the refrigerator. Geek Squad Repair came out and determined the filter was cracked, replaced the filter and everything seemed to be working fine. Fast forward to December 2017, we have had the replacement refrigerator for 3 months now and the ice makers are not making ice and the temperature in the refrigerator has been steadily increasing over the past few weeks. The replacement is having all of the same problems as the original purchase did. I will be returning this one as well. Very very disappointed in this Whirlpool refrigerator and I would not recommend it to anyone. In addition, I purchased an extended warranty and even though Best Buy will do an exchange it does not reset your warranty. Having to replace all of these Whirlpool refrigerators is eating up my 2-year warranty.

      Buyer please beware...

      I typically don't go out of my way to review products, but I just don't know what else to do at this point. Early last year (Late January) we bought this refrigerator new. It worked beautifully for a year and one month. A month out of the warranty the whole unit stops cooling and all my food is lost. I call whirlpool to see what can be done and they were happy to cover the repair under warranty even though we were a month past. I lost all of the food (Hundreds of dollars) and had to pick up a junker fridge for my garage in order to keep my family fed. The repairs from call to finish was a 2 week ordeal. The service guy replaced the Orion control board first to see if it was the issue (cheaper fix) and then finally had to replace the compressor. I recently called whirlpool to get this thing back under warranty because of how faulty it is and they quoted me $450 for 1 year and $800 for 2 years; clearly gouging due to the reputation this model has gained. Fast forward 2 months to today. I wake up and notice that the freezer is starting to thaw again. Thankfully I can get my food out in time to salvage that, but now I have a refrigerator that costed me over $2500, worked for a year and I would be forced to pay 33% of its purchase value to warranty it and get it fixed. I bought this fridge to match the other whirlpool appliance set that was left at the home when we bought it, but now I have to contemplate displacing the whole suite to get out from under these issues. We would be replacing: Refrigerator Electric Stove/Oven Wall Oven Dishwasher Microwave/Hood combo

      I REALLY want to love this refrigerator,

      Let me start by saying the functionality of this refrigerator is phenomenal and if Whirlpool can get the kinks worked out it will be one of the best fridges on the market. It is so easy to keep this fridge organized. As a mother of 3, I keep 3 gallons of milk in the fridge, a bottle of wine, and a bunch of accessible snacks in the deli tray. Our veggies are staying fresh and it looks clean inside all the time! It fits our lifestyle perfectly. Unfortunately,We have 2 BIG problems. First of all, the ice maker only worked for one month. The Geek Squad has visited our house 4 times since January, each time they replace a different part and each time decide that something else is wrong. The next part being replaced won't arrive on the Island until late March. Life without ice in Hawaii kinda sucks. Secondly, if we leave anything on the platter tray for too long it will freeze. Its a really convenient place to put eggs or meat that you are thawing for tomorrow nights dinner. Sadly, everything here stays frozen so its now just wasted space. The only other annoyance I've come across is the water filter. Its supposed to last up to 6 months. We purchased our fridge in Late November and we've already been through 2 water filters. My final beef is with Geek Squad. We purchased a 5 year warranty, thank god! However, they've offered to replace the fridge because they can't seem to get it working properly. If we replace it we loose our 5 year warranty and have to purchase a new 3 year warranty. They no longer offer a 5 year warranty. The warranty is really expensive. Even if they prorate the warranty purchase its a disappointment. The extended warranty is the reason we bought this more expensive refrigerator from Best Buy instead of their competitors (who offered it at a lower price).

      Yikes! Don't buy!

      We received this fridge as an exchange for a previous Whirlpool. Here are the problems: 1.Suppose to be counter depth, but due to its design, it still sits more than 3 inches away from the wall! It almost sits out as far as my old non-counter depth! 2.Makes a very shrill high pitch noise when running. 3.The french doors are not even height, even after adjusting, they move back to the same misalignment. The left door will not close properly and must be pushed forcefully to close. 4.Freezer design is terrible, and top slider constantly gets stuck. 5.Upper lip of freezer looks terrible with weird dent marks...see pic For the price tag on this refrigerator, I cannot believe how many issues it has. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone. I was not able to view this in the store before purchasing, so hopefully this review helps others. The only good thing to say is that its pretty :-(

      Really Disappointed

      I had really high hopes for the refrigerator. I purchased it after cancelling my order for a Samsung refrigerator based on customer complaints about the water dispenser and ice maker. Long story, short, I have now had this refrigerator over a month and am on my FOURTH service call as the water dispenser has never worked since day one. Yep, that's a call a week! Maybe mine is just a lemon product, but I did not spend $2,000 on a refrigerator not to be able to utilize all the features. If this issue is not fixed this time around, then I will be demanding the refrigerator be replaced. Buyer Beware.

      Four month lifespan

      We liked this fridge until it stopped working after four months. It was blowing warm air. Whirlpool sent a technician who diagnosed that it needed a new compressor. Waited three weeks. Different technician came out to do repair and determined there's a leak in the sealed system but cannot locate the leak. Whirlpool is insisting on more parts and labor, which means more time and essentially rebuilding a fridge that is not even six months old despite the technician saying it's highly unlikely to be repairable. Best Buy is also no help - appliance department Nicki suggested that I could "just buy a new one." Don't buy this fridge if your want your three thousand dollar purchase to last more than four months.

      At first I was scared to receive this fridge due to some negative comments, but I'm happy I did. One of the things that I was scared about was that the doors would not be leveled...like I read a lot of people say...BUT whoever setup their fridge to begin with, did not level the doors correctly. The right door is adjustable, so that is an easy fix. The fridge does not make any noise like another comment said. I have zero problems with the water dispenser and ice maker. So over all this fridge is not only beautiful, but it is made perfectly. MUST BUY!!

      My new home has a whirlpool appliance package. The refrigerator ice is already broken. Unlike our last refrigerator you cannot just pop apart the ice machine to unjam the ice. We are guessing it's jammed or a frozen line. We plan to turn it off and put a hair dryer to move along the ice thaw. Not really a permanent solution. In addition after we found no good answers in the user guide, we tried their help line to sit on hold for 45 min until we hung up. They have no call back option. Poor service.
