Q: Does this have a mode where it cycles through a set of colors?
A: Yes you can have it switch modes. Or at least through Google which is what I use it allows it. You can make it strobe, flicker, slowly get dim and brighter. Or it can pulsate with music.
Q: Can this be used in outside lights?
A: undefined
Q: What color is the actual bulb? The pics indicate the “globe” is multi-colored vs white? Any insight?
A: The bulbs when the lights aren't on are a milky, cloudy slightly warm light grey.
Q: What protocol is this , wifi ??
A: Yes it uses the Wi-Fi. I believe when I set it up I needed to also use Bluetooth with my phone. I then connected it with my Google smart things in my home. So that I can use my voice to turn it on and off as well as set schedules such as when my alarm goes off in the morning the lights turn on. I don't think you need to have Google or Alexa in order to use these though. You can use it through your phone as well
